Applied Systems continues insurance education for employees
ASCnet TENCon Special—Anaheim, CA—September 10, 2008 - Insurance Underscoring its commitment to insurance knowledge, Applied Systems Inc., the insurance technology company, reported the latest totals of employees who have taken insurance education classes and passed the national exam for certification in general insurance.
Since Spring 2007, nearly 100 Applied Systems employees have taken insurance education classes sponsored by the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA). Applied Systems announced during 2008 TENCon, the Technology, Education & Networking Conference of ASCnet, the Applied Systems Client Network Inc. The pass ratio for Applied Systems employees is about 20 percentage points higher than the national pass ratio.
Classes offered though Applied Systems, a facility certified for INS education by the AICPCU and IIA, are INS 21, Property and Liability Insurance Principles; INS 22, Personal Insurance; and INS 23, Commercial Insurance.
"Taking these classes is not just about our employees understanding insurance. It’s about them understanding the needs of our clients," said Kathleen Cox, the certified INS instructor who is a director in Applied Systems Product Management.
Some Applied departments require employees to complete the INS courses while others have joined the program voluntarily.
