Technology user group focuses on running a better insurance business
150 sessions offer education for agents, brokers and carriers
University Park, Ill. — July 28, 2011 — Specialized information and training critical to operating an insurance agency or brokerage are featured in the program for the Applied Systems Client Network’s (ASCnet) 26th annual Technology, Education and Networking Conference (TENCon) in September.
2011 TENCon takes place Sept. 20-23 at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., and offers substantive information and training for all agency and brokerage roles, including principals, producers, CSRs and IT and accounting professionals. Insurance carriers, too, will find sessions to enhance their communication and workflows with their agents and brokers.
ASCnet members gather in chapter meetings throughout the year and at the international meeting annually to network and get the most up-to-date education on their Applied Systems agency and broker management systems—TAM®, Epic™, Vision® and DORIS™. At 2011 TENCon, Applied Systems will exhibit in the trade fair for the first time with its subsidiary company, Artizan Internet Services. Artizan has been an Applied Systems company since December 2010.
More than 150 education sessions are available in nine tracks that address a wide variety of business and technology issues. Notable in this year’s program are classes exclusively for agency and brokerage principals, a track for large agencies and classes for continuing education credit, in addition to system-specific courses. Instructors include ASCnet members, Applied Systems and Artizan professional staff, and ASCnet certified presenters.
"Our goal this year is to deliver on what our members value the most in ASCnet—the ability to take part in the most comprehensive education and training program available—and we are confident we’re achieving that," said Susan Carlson, ASCnet’s education director. "We want those who are considering attending TENCon to realize they can’t afford to miss this year because of the variety of new learning opportunities that can help their agencies grow."
