Insurance tech conference offers slate of sessions on Applied Systems Epic™

Newest management system among education offerings

University Park, Ill. — Aug. 9, 2011 — Among 11 education tracks offered at next month's annual technology and education conference hosted by Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet) is one dedicated to Applied Systems Epic™, the newest agency and broker management system from Applied Systems, Inc.

ASCnet's 2011 TENCon (Technology, Education & Networking Conference) has 23 Epic-related sessions totaling 50 hours of instruction. Applied Systems staff and ASCnet members will teach specific aspects of the management system, including getting deeper into accounting with Epic, retaining personal lines of insurance while being efficient and profitable, discovering proofs of insurance features, and starting a sales and marketing campaign.

The 26th annual TENCon takes place Sept. 20-23, at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando. ASCnet is the international user group for agents and brokers who use management solutions from Applied Systems.

Within the Epic track is a panel discussion featuring Epic users who will talk about their move to Epic from another system. The session, "Epic's Hidden Gems," is for those who have used the system for a little while but want to learn how to unlock its full potential. Another session, "Exploring Epic 5.0," will demonstrate the features of Epic's current version.

Insurance agents and brokers quickly embraced Applied Systems Epic, and its deployment rate continues to escalate. The system is used by two of the world's top five brokers and 25 percent of the top 20 agents and brokers in the United States. More than 300 businesses of all size and scope have selected Epic to manage their insurance business.

"We have assembled a collection of Epic sessions that will give users a chance to cherry pick the ones they will benefit from the most, according to their level of experience," said Applied Systems Product Instructor Chris Wright, who worked with ASCnet on the TENCon curriculum. "We didn't want to risk overwhelming users by trying to cover too much ground over just a few sessions. So we broke the Epic education into manageable bits, using more sessions, each focused on specific topics."

The Epic classes are among more than 150 sessions at this year's TENCon. Additional information will be available in the TENCon Exchange trade show, where the Applied Systems booth will include Artizan Internet Services, an Applied Systems company.

TENCon's discounted registration period is open until Aug. 22. For more information, visit www.ascnet.org. TENCon is open to ASCnet members and all users of Applied Systems solutions, as well as Applied Systems carrier partners.
