Applied Systems and Artizan talk 'cloud' at insurance tech conference
Insurance software experts offer solutions for agents and brokers
ASCnet TENCon Special — Orlando — September 21, 2011 — The safety, security and efficiency of cloud computing are highlighted in the exhibit area staffed by insurance technology company Applied Systems and its subsidiary company, Artizan Internet Services, at this week's annual meeting of Applied Systems users.
Addressing the trend and projected increases in cloud computing adoption, Applied Systems and Artizan have more than 100 insurance technology experts meeting clients who are members of ASCnet (Applied Systems Client Network), the user group association hosting the 26th annual TENCon (Technology, Education & Networking Conference) running through Friday at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando.
"Agents and brokers who embrace cloud computing are giving themselves a competitive advantage," said Applied Systems CEO Reid French. "Software as a service is the unambiguous direction in this and other industries. Operating in an online environment offers operational efficiency, cost savings and disaster protection that are difficult to match in operating a locally administered system."
Throughout the conference, ASCnet members are receiving information on migrating from the local area network versions of TAM®, Vision® and DORIS™ to online counterparts. The company also features information on its newest agency and broker management system, Applied Systems Epic™.
Visitors to the exhibit area are also hearing firsthand about Applied Systems services including education, consulting, Applied Systems-hosted Microsoft® Exchange, and e-mail security using RPost® Registered E-Mail Service.
In a traditionally popular feature of Applied Systems TENCon participation, visitors also have access to Customer Support technicians and managers to ask questions in a face-to-face meeting environment.
"This personal contact at TENCon is a benefit for our customers and technicians alike," said Bill Ahearn, Customer Support manager. "Agency employees who have developed a relationship with specific staff over the phone have a chance to put a face to the voice. The whole networking aspect of the conference extends to agents and brokers who get to meet the Support staff who service their businesses every day."
Artizan Internet Services is highlighting enhancements that sync the CSR24 customer access and self-service solution with Applied Systems management systems. Artizan also features Web site quote form integration and mobile optimized Web sites. Artizan account managers are on hand to offer client support for CSR24® as well as InsWorld® electronic publishing and e-news services, certTrax® certificate tracking, and Web site design.
